We are seeking a Medical Billing Representative - Business Office Assistant to join our client's organization that has been recognized as a National Quality Leader by the US Department of Health and Human Services.
As a Medical Billing Representative, you will be responsible for providing staff support to the Senior Director Business Office in maintaining and operations the firm's business systems.
You will also liaise with Team Leads and Medical Billing Representatives in a collaborative effort.

Responsibilities:
Direct contact for establishing Employer Contract and or Independent Contractor (e.
g.
, CDL/Pre-employment physicals, employer required vaccines, etc) quote and account setup.
Assist in the processing of all insurance claims via electronic/hardcopy in a timely manner.
File insurance claims electronically while correcting and refilling rejected claims and sending out paper HCFA 1500 claim forms.
Process rejections daily and distribute to appropriate departments if necessary.
Print and process employer contract claims, primary payer claims, secondary payer claims daily Utilize Clearinghouse portal, claim scrubbing, online claim editing, claim tracking and management, entropic remittance advice and paper EOB Communicate with various external facilities and vendors regarding EDI issues such as missing or corrupt files Initiates and answers telephone, screens calls, takes messages and provides information as needed.
Maintain/submit purchase orders for materials & supplies for business office, submitting orders for approval.
Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent Bi-lingual in English/Spanish is preferred.
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Knowledge of medical billing practices and clinic policies and procedures.
Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS coding.
Knowledge of insurance company operating procedures.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
